Gareth Pugh blew our minds with an event as special guest of Pitti. His film directed by Ruth Hogben was mesmerising, and the choice of venue (Orsanmichele..a medieval church in the heart of Florence) with the film projected onto the ceiling made for a s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g presentation...
The collection he made specially for the presentation saw him using colour for the first time (!!)..a gorgeous rich colbalt blue...reminiscent of religious iconography inspired by the city. Matthew Stone's pumping electronic soundtrack reverberating round the candle lit church felt particularly right...
Gareth was tied up giving interviews most of the night..he seemed pretty happy when he was done and could enjoy a wee drinkie with us all...
..Pippa wafting round in blue Gareth was turning all the Italian men's heads..
How major is this chiffon gown Gareth lent me? I spent all evening tripping on my own hem and avoiding sloshes of red wine..hopefully..
Seriously, the event was perfection. Massive congratulations & thanks to Gareth and Pitti! xx
