SUSIE SNOOZIE SUZE...

Susie is the coolest. She looked after me when I was a tiny kid and is one of my favourite people on this planet. She's an artist, awesome cook, and, luckily for me, likes to simply hang out and have a proper chat and a laugh...

Suze is massively stylish in a New York Dolls meets Mata Hari way and is my earliest and most influential muse. As a kid I'd marvel at the mountains of obscure vintage fabrics and Indian trinkets in her room and how she'd layer a shirt done up to the collar under a handmade chiffon and lace dress plus a mans waistcoat, incredibly high sexy heels with electric blue sheer stockings, irridescent gold and purple eyeshadow and bracelets round her upper arms..
Today's outfit is a soft grey wool and velvet frock by some Swedish designer she can't remember, over a double collared Chanel blouse, accessorised with a miniature pearl abacus and a tonne of gold sovereigns round her neck, plus a rare Caleche perfume. Her long hair (often pulled up with chopsticks into a tumbling topknot) is currently dyed a sort of pink/orange haze...and she has on pink Timberland boots. She's listening to Mae West singing 10 Days of Christmas and says she's planning to whizz down a Helter Skelter later and then rescue an Italian donkey or something. You never quite know what's reality/fantasy with Suze...

Very excited cos she's threatening to get her sewing machine out and create some new garms from all her amazing old fabrics (maybe for me too - I'll keep you posted and take plenty of pics). Anyway, see you soon Nanny Snooze! xx
