Yes, we have Richard Battye (the uber fabulous and friendly landlord) to thank for the legendary off its trolley Shoreditch institute that is the George & Dragon. The George even has its own gallery - The White Cubicle in the ladies loo, which over the years hosted shows by Julie Verhoeven, Wolfgang Tilmans, Tim Noble & Sue Webster and Terence Koh. You couldnt make this stuff up.
